The Cycle in the Soudan.
The bicycle has found its way into the Soudan. M. Gayroud. in a letter to the French Society of Commercial Geography, state? that he uses one at Kita, and that M. Baudry, a French naval ensign, has another at Bafoulabe. on the road from Kita to Say, in the French Soudan. Wby not ? The bicycle, with its pneumatic tire, has the soft foot of a camel, and does not seem ill-adapted for riding on firm sand.
