Mills at the bran tub was rushed by the juveniles, anxious to get rid of their surplus coppers. The refreshment stall appeared to do a roaring business, and the waitresses, Misses Fahey and M'Murtrie, were kept going right up till closing up time. A well-trained orchestra of bandsmen and local musicians rendered several capital^^elections during the evening, which were much appreciated. Song s rendered by Mr C. King and Mr J. Colvert, a trombone solo by Mr A. Bryce, and a recitation by Miss Bonnin were much appreciated. Mr W. Kirby danced an Irish jig, in costume, in first-class style. A skippingrope competition for girls under 12 was won by Miss Bremner. The amount taken on Wednesday and Thursday has not been disclosed, but the Band should have no difficulty in placing £100 to their credit before the carnival is over. i'he bazaar was open last evening, ftndv?aß again very well attended.
