» The ordinary monthly meeting of the tbove Board waa held oa Friday evening. There were present : Messrs Rather ford (chairman) Harvey, Dalla?, Smltb, M'Dunald, aad Mosley. Mr E. B. Bowler, Gore, wrote eaalosing agreement with reference to draidage through Messrs Smith's aad Biwler'a properties. The e'erk wia laatructed t<> forward agreement to Mr Walter Hislop, Danedin, for eseoution on behalf of Bowler's Trua'.ees, Mr Peter Eatherford wrote with reference to reduotion in valuation of hia property. The olerk was inatraofced to have the matter attended %0.. The Clerk presented a memorandum of agreement between Mr John Mosley and the Board for land taken for pamp and engine shed site, for the signature of Mr Mosley and the ohairman, which was duly exeouted. Drainage from Smith's Roal to Haating'a rO ad. — Is waß moved by Mr Smith and seconded by Mr M 'Donald, that tenders be called for cutting drains through Smith's, Kirkneas', Duncan's, and Haaticg'a to be laid before the Bo*rd at its next meeting, and also for widening and deepening of drain from pump to Smi&h'a ditch abonfc 12 < chains. On the motion of Mr Mosley seconded by Mr Smith the tender of George Logic for the cartage of metal was accepted. Catting Thistleß— lt was resolved that a man be employed to assist the surfaceman to cat tbistiea on ditch through Weirs and M.'Dona!da, and on district; roade. The Chairman reported that a break had taken plaoe on river bank at Mr Peter Rulherfordß, and oatried away part of fljod bank.— lc vyas resolved that the matter be left in the hands of the Chairman to attend to. It was resolved that a pipe be put through formation at Misb Moeley'e before metal is laid down Accounts passed for payment : Robert Byers surfacing, £3 6s ; Koberfc M'Klnley timber and labor, £12 4d. Tbia was all the business and the meeting closed. '
