ANNUAL LICENSING COURT.

[ TOKOMAIRIRO DISTRICT. 1 Tuesday Sth June. (Before E. H. Carew, Esq., KM., Chairman, and H. Clark, T. Murray, and F. Wayne, Esqrs., Commissioners.) John Niven, of Waihola Gorge, applied for a bottle license for his store in that locality, the premises being the property of Mr James Duthie. The Bench asked several questions of Sergeant Finnigan, and also examined the applicant. After due consideration the application was refused. The following renewals were granted for Milton : Francis Grant, Miltoa Hotel ; George Coombe, Commercial ; Jas. Goodall, Exchange ; Fredk. Bastings, White Horse ; David Bourke, Camp ; Michael Kett, Royal. Renewals were also granted te Archibald Pateraon, Lake Hotel, Waihola, and Joe Howard, Glenore Hotel. Renewals of bottle licenses were granted to James Gray, and Peter Cunninghame, Milton ; W. Moore, Clarksville, and Joseph Harrison, Taieri Ferry. The Chairman, on behalf of the Bench, expressed their pleasure in receiving the very favorable reports on the houses given in by the police, and hoped they would continue to be, well conducted.
