NEW ADVERTiSEME S TS. COUNTY OF BfttJCE. TOLLS. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the ninth day of July, 1880, 4 TOLLS will be collected at Clarksville Junction, Waihola, and Taieri Bridge Toll-bars, under the following Scale of Charges :— SCHEDULE : 1. For every Horse or other beast drawing any Coach, Landau, Barouche, Chaise, Phaeton, Curricle, Car, or any such like Carriage — Sixpence. 2. For every Horse or other beast drawing any Wagon, Wain, or other such like Conveyance, if the total number of Horses Bhall not exceed six— Sixpence ; and for every extra Horse or other beast above the number of six, and not exceeding eight — One Shilling ; and for every extra Horse exceeding the number of eight — Two Shillings. 3. For every Horse or other beast, if the total number shall not exceed three, drawing any Whitechapel Cart or Dray on two wheels — Sixpence. 4. For every horse or other beast, if the total number shall exceed three, drawing any Whitechapel Cart or Dray on two wheels — One Shilling. 5. For every Horse, Mule, or Ass, laden or unladen, and not drawing — Sixpence. 6. For every drove of Horses, Mules, and Asses, unladen and not drawing — Threepence. 7. For every drove of Oxen, Cows, or neat Cattle, the sum of Three Shillings and fourpence per score, and so on in proportion for any greater or lesser number. 8. For every drove of Calves, Swine, Goats, Sheep, or Lambs, the sum of Tenpence per score, and so on in proportion for any greater or lesser number. j Note. — Passes will be granted to all Ratepayers within the County to clear the abovementioned Toll-bars, on application to the Chairman.
