Mr Levin gave notice that he would a- k ltavo to introduce the Bank of New Zealand Act Ameudont Bill. Jlr Becthani (on behalf of Colonel Trimble) announced that on Tuesday next he (Colonel Trimble) would move an Address-in Reply to the Speech of the Governor. A message was received from the Governor conveying a despatch from the Secretary of State acknowledging the receipt of a vote of condolence on the death of Princess Alice passed last session by both Houses of Parliament, and stating that the Queen fully appreciated the communication. Mr Hutchison gave notice of his intention to introduce a bill to amend the Municipal Corporations Act. The Premier gave notice of the Regulation of Elections Petitions Bill. The Premier introduced a bill to amend the Electric Telegraph Act, and it was read a first time. Mr Hutchison asked to have laid upon the table a return showing how much had been spent on the Wellington- Foxton railway out of the vote of £4000 passed last session for the construction of that line. The Hou-je adjourned till Tuesday.
