THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.
London, May 27. The Australian Cricketers commenced a match against 18 of the Rochdale to-day. The English team went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn had eight wickets down for 45 runs. May 28. The match between the Australian Cricketers and eighteen of Rochdale was resumed to-day. There was only a moderate attention of the public, but the weather was fine throughout the day. The Home team, who at the close of the first day'a play had eight wickets down for 45 runs, resumed their innings, and were soon all disposed of for 92 runs. Boyle for the Australians bowled splendidly, and took 10 of the Rochdale wickets. The Australians then went in, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had seven wickets down for 194 runs. M'Donnell had contributed 99 towards this score when he was given out leg before wicket. His innings was a very fine one. May 29: The match between the Australian cricketers and eighteen of Rochdale was concluded today. The Australian team won the match in one innings, with 2o runs to spare, and thus scored their fourth victory in England.
