Chbistchuech, January 31.

The house of Mra Fitzgerald, boarding house keeper atSydeuham, was destroyed by fire at one o'clock tbis morning, as well as a small uDoccupied house at the hack. The furniture is insured for £300. The house is also insured, but it is cot known at present in what office. At noon to-day, a seven roomed house at Sandridge, two miles fvom town, was destroyed by fire ; particulars not yet to band.

There was also a very narrow escape at Barber and Fountains, the bookseller.*, in town. Several packing caseß were found to bo on fire in the back premises, but were epetdily extinguished.

Taie evening, another fire was reported, The Grange, at Eiiestnere, being com> pletely destroyed at two o'clock on Thursday morning. It was occupied by the Brothers Frankish, several servants, and a number of visitor, all of whom had a narrow eecape. N -thing was saved but the piano.
