Mr Joseph Rodgers asked to be allowed to surrender his depasturing license, No. 6, Wakatipu district, the rents being paid up. The rent of the depasturing license was £315 per annum, and had six years and five months to run from Ist November, 1877. The following decision of the Board was minuted. Mi* James Brand's application for a deferred payment license of section 64, hlock 111, Glenkenich district, was granted DEFERRED PAYMENT LEASES. The following applications to ptirchase were granted : — John Fitzwilliam Robertson, section 5, block VI If, Crookston dis trict ; Th'imas Kean, section 14, block IV, Kuriwao — the latter on payment of cost of lease prepared. EXCHANGE LEASES. The following applications to purchase ex hunge leases were approved : — Wm. Dawson, section 20, block IX, Toi Tois; Wi Ham Adams, sections 7, 8, and 9, block 11 1., Leaning Rock. GOLD MINING LEASES. Certificates were granted as follows : — Patrick Kerin, sections 51 and 52, block VTII, Shotover ; William James Harrison, section 21, block XVII, Shotover. APPLICATIONS TO EXCHANGE. The following applications to exchange agricultural for deferred-payment leases were approved : —William Simpson, section 6, block VIII, Hillend ; James Cameron, 50 and 55, block VII, Waitahuna East; John Sutherland, 9, 10, 11, and 60, biock I, Waitahuna West; Daniel Keewan, 74 and 1 of 69, block I, Waitahuna West ; Donald John M'Donald, 47, 182, and 183, block 11, Tuapeka East; Hugh Ross, 60, 67, aud 73, block IV, Tuapeka East ; Seppran Rowe, 39, block V, Tuapeka East ; Peter M'Gill, 22, block VI, Tuapeka East ; John M'Lean, 1, block 11, Tuapeka East. SCHOOL RESERVE. The Secretary to the Southland Boird of Education applied to have ten acres of land of the Village Reserve in block VI, Waikaka district, surveyed and set aside for school purposes. It was resolved that the applicant be requested to furnish sketch of land in qutsuon. WAITAHUNA WEST. The Warden, Lawrence, wrote that the business site at Tuapeka Mouth, applied for by Andrew M'Beatb, should be granted to him with valuation, it not being advisable to sell the whole of section 28, block I, Waitahuna West d'strict. The Board resolved the area applied for by Mr M'Beath be offered at auction at £10 per acre, with £100 as valuation for improvements, instead of the whole of section 28, as previously resolved ; approval cf Governor to be obtained. waikaka.
