(By Telegraph.) Auckland, January 16. The City of Sydney made the run from 'Frisco to Honolulu iu 7 days 21 hours, which is the fastest ever done. Up to the time or accident to her machinery, when about a day and a-balf from Auckland, her eDgineß had worked splendidly, tbe ship having averaged 301 miles a-day for seven consecutive days rom 'Frisco — an almost unparalleled run.
