The trade seemed determined to buy at low figures, and as a large number were held over from la^ sale vendors were anxous to clear them out, consequently buyers had ib pretty much their own way. We quote Drime mutton at 2d per lb. Fat Lambs. The large number of 902 were penned, all of which were good to prime quality, but changed hands at low rates, 7s 9d to 8s Od being the top figures, and medium, 6s to 7s. We sold 87 at 83. Stoic Sheep. — We note a fair demand for sound 4.tooth half-breds for fattening. Other descriptions, however, do not meet with such enquiry as might ba expected, but this is no doubt o\vi.og to the lattn-vs of shearing in the South and the interior, runholders not yet having ascertainad what requireuiei;ts really are. •Store Cattle' — Well-grown stores are wanted, and values are well maintained, desp : te the decline in f;-.'. atock.
