Robert j^arjier!s dam, Nancy, was got by the far-famed, horse Glasgow Geordie, imported, by the late David Nisbet in 1868.^ Glasgow Geordie gained first-prizes iat the. following places :— Mary hill.,' Kirk in-, Itullocii^ . Bishbpbriggs, and johnstone. T« 1868 he gained fthe first prize- at I;he Taieri show, and first at Tokomairiro ; "and in 1869 he was first, at the Taiefi; and second at Dunedin — thus showing that Sir Robert Napiec ia descended, from some of the best blood that has ever been imported. Sir Robert Napier got first prize as a two-year old af'the'/Tokomairiro show, and second prize,' competing against tho aged horses ; a'so. first prize at the Taieri show in 1875, when three years old. He gained the first prize at the Taim show, and the Silver Medal for the best Entire of any age in the yard, and the Silver Cup at the Tokomairiro Show in -1876. - Terms £4, payable at end of season ; groom's fee, si, payable at time of service.
