The Bruce Rifles.
TOWN AND COUNTY WtIZE,
Prize firing was commenced on Saturday morniug last, the competition being for the Town and County Prize, and the shooting was very good for a beginning, considering the morning was very dull, with a light breeze blowing from the left. The conditions of the prize are— To be won three times, twice in succession, at ranges 400, 500,-arid and 600 yards, fire shots. At the 400 yards range, Sub-Lieut. Reid made 19, and at the 500 yards Private M'Latchie 19. Private M'Latchie was-highest with the good score of 51, Sub-Lieut; Reid next with 49.
