MILTON.
Tuesday, 27th March, (Before Mr B. H. C>irew, R.M.) Mr J. G. Grey, of Waihola Gorge, appealed against the assessments made upon his Tokomairiro and Table Hill properties by the Tokomairiro Road Board. The Tokomairiro farm was rated at 16s per acre on 200 acres. ' After lengthened evidence bad been heard as to farmers, troubles of late years, and low prices for grain and stock, and comparison of this land with others in the yjgjnjty in rateable value, the assessment was reduced to \§§ acres at 14s per acre. 348 acres at Table Hill, assessed" at £80, was reduced to £70.
