CLOSING TKICES.

Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, reports for the week ending May 10th, 1876 :— Fat Cattle.— A fHll supply of 190 head came forward at the market to-day, the greater portion being cows, and the prices realised were about the same as last week. Best pens of bullocks, for which there was rather a keen competition, brought £11 to £13 10s each ; do cows £10 to £12 103, or equal to 35s per lOOlbs for prime quality. < ■•'■■..., Fat Calves.— Only a few penned, whicu sold at 35s to <Tss each. . - , ..Fat Steep.— 2oo were penned, a large proportion being of only medium quality. Best crossbreds sold at 11s 6d to 14s, do merinos, 7s 6d to 9s 9d; or equal to 3d per lb for former, and 2ad per lb for latter. \ Store Cattle.— Quotations remain tznaltered. There is an "'inquiry for young merino ewes and wethers, with few . offering. , .; . v j Wool.— Cable advicea are still . interrupted, but mail advices with account sales, both via 'Frisco and Suez, -are to hand, which fully confirm previous, cablegrams as to the extent of the fall in.price of wool at tbe first series of the London wool sales of 1876. Intelligence of the close of " second series is now anxiously looked for. At our weekly auction this afternoon we sold a lew ; lots, average quality, of merino, greasy bringing BJd per lb. Sbeepßkins were well competed for, and brought very full rntcs. Butchers' crossbreds, 2a 3d to 23*8 d; mixed, Is lOd ; lambs, 2s to 28 3d; full wool merinos, 4s Bd. Hides were in improved demand, and brought advanced rates. Green butchers', 20s to 22s 3d ; wet salted, medium, 19a to 20s 6d. Tallow. — A few small parcels, good country rendered, brought 27s 6d to 29s 6d.-' Grain.— "Wheat is in good request, good to superior milling 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; inferior, 4s 3d to 4s sd. Fowls' wheat, 3s lOd to 4s. Oats are in improved demand, especially bright feed in shipping parcels bringing Is 10d to Is lid ; discolored and, inferior, Is 8d to Is 94d. Barley —Malting, any but the finest sorts are difficult to move at quotations, prime 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; medium, 4s to 4s 3d ; milling qualities, 2s 6d to 38 6d. At above quotations, we sold at public sale several parcels of wheat and oats this afternoon.
