" ♦ £20,000 In 20,000 Shares of One Pound each ; One Shilling per Share payable on application, and One Shilling on allotment. PaOfISiOHAL CIRECTORS : JAMES GOODALL, Mayor, Milton JOHN HOLLICK, Milton J. L. SOUTTER, Milton R. W. CAPSTICK, Milton EDWARD MARRYATT, Milton W. L. PHILP, Milton JAMES DICKSON, MUton GEORGE COOMBE, Milton PETER M'GrILL, Milton Interim Secretary : Treasurer: CHAS. A. OGILVIE. | E. MARRYATT. „'"■'", > , JBankers: BANK OF NEW ZEALAND. The large and rapidly increasing town of Milton, being at present without any permanent or reliable supply of water, and being situated, it is believed by the promoters of the Company, so that an unlimited supply may be obtained -with pressure sufficient for manufacturing purposes, as well as protection of property from fire ; and also of quality and purity unsurpassed for domestic uses at a moderate cost. The cost of works supposed to be necessary have as yet been variously, and, of course, roughly estimated at from eight to twelve thousand pounds, so that the promoters do not anticipate that more than one-half the Capital will be required to be called up. Already nearly six thousand pounds ot the proposed Capital has been subscribed for by the promoters. As there must of necessity be a considerable time taken up with survey, estimate of cost, and other preliminaries, it is not expected that any further call than 2s per share will be required for six months after allotment, and the remainder of the Capital at intervals of not less than three months, and in amounts not more than 2s per share. The vital importance of this undertaking to the Town of Milton induces the promoters to expect with confidence that every assistance will be afforded by the Corporation of Milton ; and from the general character of undertakings of this nature, and the peculiarly favorable situation of the Town of Milton, both as regards the facilities for obtaining a supply at a moderate cost, and also a large body of consumers, that the Company will prove remunerative to the Shareholders immediately on completion of the works, and also a first-class permanent investment. Early applications for Shares are requested, to be addressed to CIIAS. A. OGILVIE, Interim Secretary.
