'(From a correspondent.) Caledonian games held at Mataura Bridge on Boxing day, December 26th, .18711—Foot race, 100 yards— -Ist prize, LI, Jno. OughtOn; 2nd, 10s, H. M'Kay. Three entries. Laurie. 21 entries. , . Owing to the heavy wind blowing during the match-, the tilting was not up to the mark. After the games were finished, there Were ttfO hurry scurries with horses-, and one private match between Mr Bain's mare, Prairie, and Mr D. Antony's, Stranger, who started as the favorite, , but was soon lambed down by Prairie. There Were six entries for each scurry, both end' ing in favor of H. M 'Kay's-, Blazes, who cantered in.
