On the reef known as the Ocean View Reef, Table Hill, and including the ground at present held by tbe Alexandra Company, being part of original Section 16 of Block V. TO CONTRACTORS. npENDERS are invited for the snpply of JL four hundred and sixty-six (466) twenty feet, and thirty (30) twenty- five feet long' telegraph poles, to be delivered at Balclutha, ; or any point on telegraph line between Balclutha and Otaria Creek. Also, fer the supply of five hundred and seventy-six {576) ■twenty feet, and sixty-one : (61) twenty-five feet long telegraph poles, to be delivered at , Invercargill or Halfway Bush, or any point on telegraph line between Invercargill and Otaria Creek. The poles to be sawn from the heart of Totara. The poles to be of the following dimen-, sions : — Twenty-five (25) feet, and twenty ,(20) feet long (in numbers above $iven), to be: eight (8) inches square at the bntt, and six (6) inches square at the top. ; The poles to be sound, straight, and free from shakes, knots and sap. N.B. — No pole will be accepted which contains the least sap. The poles to be delivered within 2 months of the date of signing the contract. Tenders are to specify the price per pole as per size given, and point to be delivered at. Each tender to be accompanied by a deposit of ten pounds (£10), as a .guarantee of ' good faith, which will be forfeited by any tenderer should he refuse to take up his tender in the event of its being accepted. Each tender must include the names of •two sureties for approval, who are willing to become bond for the due performance of the contract, in the event of the tender being •accepted, and must be accompanied by a •notification to that effect signed by the two proposed sureties.
