'JOSEPH MACKAY, Bookseller, Stationer, Printer, &c, DUNEDIN, And BRUCE HERALD OEEIOE, TOKOMAIRIRO, TTAVING long observed tbe great "want felfc by IJL the up-countrv settlers throught tbe Pro'vince of means for supplying themselves with tbe works of the popular writers of the day, of •general and standard literature, also articles of stationery in general use, has determined to remedy this provincial requirement by the establishment of a Travelling Bookselling and Stationery WAGGON, to visit every farm house, and runholder's station practicable by-monthly. Whe waggon will contain a large assortment of railway, parlor and shilling libraries, and the latest works of the day by known writer? ; also a select, and varied stock of standard, historical scientific and religious works, also school books and every article of stationery likely to suit the requirements of up-country buyers. The advertiser trusts that the up-country settlers of Otago will fully appreciate his endeavors to bring the current litterature of the day within their reach, and feels confident that their patronage will encourage permanent arrangements for regular and future visits, and should any homestead in the Province not receive a call from the waggon he will feel obliged by their kindly informing him of the same, that the fault may be remedied on the following trip. The waggon will travel over tbe Clutha district this and the following week, when MACKAY'S OTAGO SOUTHLAND AND GOLDFIELDS ALMANAC FOR 1865, and Lett's Diaries, &c, may be obtained. Subscriptions and advertisements will also be received for the BRUCE HERALD NEWSPAPER.
