The c naily Times ' of Tuesday states th«t a meeting ofj the Otapo Local Committee of the New Zealand Exhibition was held yesterday afternoon, for the purpose of considering the advisability of holding an agricultural exposition in March next. Mr Forman occupied the chair, and there we; c present Dr Richardson, Messrs Dalryraple, senr., Ilackett, Stevenson, Redmayne, Gillies, Lygan, J. S. Webb, Todd, Matthews! and several oth> r gentlemen interested in the movement. Mr Webb explained the steps which had been taken in the matter, and read the resolution affirming the advisability of holding an agricultural expo-ition, which had been passed at a previous meeting of the commit cc, at.d communicated to thrf commissioners, with the suggestion that it should be held under their auspices and on their premises in March r.ext, toward* the close of the| Exhibitian. No answer to the communication had been received by the committee. A general conversation endued, in which an opinion was expressed V-j the agriculturist* present that such an exhibition as that indicat d could not successfully take p!.ice 1 ef. re the end of May or the beginning of June.
