Mr T. Hoar seems to set the pace in the Mastcrton Mayoral contest, and it is a rapid one. Mr George Coward, the pioneer printer of Marlborough, died to-day, aged 89 yea.rs. Malcolm Champion, the Auckland swimmer, who, represents New Zealand at the Olympic Games, sailed by the At-hentic this morning from Wei lington, for London.
