A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the chairman, and the meeting ad'ourned. REPORT. The report was as follows: —• In presenting the first annual report and balance-sheet your committee are pleased to state that all circumstances taken into consideration, the past season has been most successful. The season started with two senior teams, Rovers and Kaitare. The matches were contested in a halfhearted style by the European, Clul), Messrs Kelly,' Mcintosh, Nutteli, Freeman and Drinkwater being the only 'members who endeavored to maste/the finer points of the game; while on the other hand the wfltole of the Kaitare Club put in good work, mnd at the end of the season, were second to no individual club team in New Zealand, and are to be congratulated on the way in which they worked to become efficient. Two representative teams Heft for Napier to play Northern Hawke's Bay, the results being one win a,nd one loss. Two visiting teams were received, and on both accaslous were declared winners. Three members, Messrs Mcintosh, Kelly and Purn were chosen to represent Daunevirke in the Hawke's Bay touring team.

The Kaitere .tea.ni; was granted permission to tour, .and although not successful in winning their matches, deserve credit for the gentleiniau:y way in which they conducted themselves, and their pluck in undertaking such an extensive tour.

The referees, Messrs Parkinson, Dowsett and Parke, deserve special thanks for the manner in which they controlled the gajne. During the year three gentlemen of your committee, Messrs Calder, Johnstone and Burkeiifi'ha,w, resigned through private reasons. The thanks of the cn<mui, ittee are due to fl'll those who assistecT the League financiaHly or otherwise. The balance-sheet shows that the season started with nil, but owing to the expense of introducing a new .game we have not been able-to declare a surplus. The committee lias been careful in the matter of finance, .aud one has only to peruse the balance-sheet to see h'O'W the money way expended. Your delegate?,' labors are now concluded,, aind it is hoped that they hn.ve met with your approval. . It will be noticed that the committee have been assiduous in their duties, and only when urgently required on other business or sickness, have failed to attend. To all teams we would urge the necessity of trying to master the finer points of the game, and thus make it still more attractive to the public.—For the Management Committee, S. Newsou, lion, secretary.
