BUSH DISTRICTS DOG TRIAL CLUB.

CONCLUDING RESULTS

The dog trials were continued yesterday in fair weather and good attendance. The work accomplished in the heading classes was very creditable in the opinion of the judge, Mr W. O. Rutherford, but the liuntaway was poor. Mr M'Donald's Don, in the short head, put up an especially good performance, in the judge's opinion, doing his work with a total absence of noise. The club's officers are to be congratulated upon putting the events through so expeditiously. Class lll.—Huntaway, 340 yards, between three lots of Hags. Time, 10 minutes. Points: Huntaway 10, under command 10, style 6, noise 4. First prize £B, second £4, third £2, fourth £l. J. M'Donald's Jock, 9, 9, 6, 4—28. B. Douglas' Moss, 9, 9, 5, 4—27. J. M'Donald's Snookie, 8, 9, 5, 4 26. P. J. M'Kay's Roy, S, 8, 5, 4—25. J UD GE' S COMMENTS. Jock went through three sets flags under fair command and in good style. Time, 2.45 (■>). Moss went through all flags and under fairly good command. His style was not good. Time, 8.49. Suokie went through flags. Neither style or command Mas good. Time, 5.17. Hoy took sheep through all flags, gave sheep a rough turn below the top Hags. Only moderate style and command. Time, 5.47 Classes 11. and IV.—Heading; distance 350 yards. Heading, bringing hack, and driving through one set of hurdles 9 feet apart, and drive 50 yards to pe?i and yard. Time, 12 minutes. Points: Best heading 7, bring back 5, under command 8, putting through hurdles 8, style in yarding 6, yarding 6. Class ll—First I

Brought back in good line quietly; went through hurdles; good style at pen; finished in 5.42. Boy- cast to right; did not go out too well; headed quietly in 1.5. Brought back in good line quietly; put sheep through hurdles ; good style at pen. Time, 9.26. Tip cast to right; went out well; headed nicely in 1.2. Did- not bring back in good line, zigzagging his sheep about; put through hurdles; had a good style at pen. Bell cast to right. Went out well and headed nicely in 1 minute. Brought back well in fair line, but was a trifle fast. Missed hurdles at at first attempt, but put sheep through the second time; good style at pen. Time, 7.30. W. Pringle's Maid did equally good work as the fourth dog, but lost points on time.
