The wheat markets are steady, with a quiet demand for cargoes, and no speculation. Victorian MarchApril 38s 9d, 14,000 quarters South Australian, and Victorian FebruaryMarch 395. Holders are asking '3Bs 3d for steamer parcels afloat, and 37s 9d for March-April. There is little enquiry for Australian spot at about 42s 9d.

Oats are quiet, Laplata April-May 14s Id to 14s l^d. The butter market is slow, and the high prices are checking business. The warmer weather is also having an effect, though Continental supplies are still insignificant. Danish 130s and 1345, Australian choicest 1245, secondary 120s; New Zealand choicest, 1265; Argentine, 1245. Olieese firm ; New Zealand 60s and 625.
