There was beautiful weather this morning for the continuation of the Australia-Manawatu match. Kelleway and Emery opened on a perfect wicket to Cobbe and Greer. The latter bowler scattered Emery's stumps before the score opened, and when only two runs were added Smith, who filled the vacancy, was cleanbowled by Cobbe, 51—5 —2. Smith followed, and sent -Cobbe to the boundary, and another three brought 60 up. The Smith-lvellaway partnership soon put on runs, and brought up the century in half an hour, Smith scoring rapidly off ail the bowling. With 142 up, Holland scattered Kellaway's stumps. The retiring batsman made 48, mostly from singles. Bardsley filled the vacancy, and opened by putting Holland into the pavilion. Both batsmen scored rapidly, and the second century appeared at 12.30. HIGH SCHOOL The cricket match played on the Domain yesterday afternoon, between the Dannevirke B team and the High School eleven, resulted in an easy win for the boys by the substantial margin of 107 runs. The feature of the School play Avas Grant's innings of 64 not out, compiled in excellent style. M'Dowell knocked up a useful 34, and Wiseman's 14 was also got by nice cricket. The only member of the B team who was able to make a show against the bowling of M'Doweli and Jensen was J. Wilson, who Avas no out for 21, nearly half the total scored by the whole team.
