SHACKLETON'S DASH FOR THE POLE.
(To the Editor.) ~, Sir, —I would like to add my word of praise towards the cinematograph performance in the Drill Hall last night, and recommend it to others as an educational treat which many may not have an opportunity of seeing again. The weird, human-like movements of the penguins were a revelation in themselves; also the hardships of the expedition were excellently represented.—l am, etc., F. \REID MACKAY.
