ANTI-MILITARISM.

A ROWDY SCENE. Press Assn—By telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 15, 8.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This day. A meeting at the Broken Hill town hall, called by the Socialist group to protest against fostering the military spirit, led to a strong counter demonstration, ending in a free fight and the interference of the police. The voices of the speakers were drowned by the singing of patriotic songs, and the furniture and fittings in the hall suffered considerably during a rough and tumble. When order was restored the counter demonstration carried a resolution favouring the defence movement for citizen soldiery.
