CROSSING THE BAR.

[press association.] GHEYMOUTH, March 14. A sad • boating fatality occurred this evening, when throe young men, named William Winterburn, John Carley, and John Debakker, were drowned whilst trying to cross the Grey bar in an oil launch. The sea was fair'ly rough. When half-way across they attempted to return, when the boat swamped. One of the men clung to an oar for some time, and the tug went out, but he disappeared before he could be reached. The affair caused quite a gloom, as the young men were well known. Thir ages range from 20 to 25 years. There is no trace of the bodies, but the boat has been washed up on the beaoh.
