THE MUSICAL ALL BLACKS.

■ The Musical All Blacks, after an •-absence of nearly five years, show here at the Drill Hall to-night,\ when no doubt they wiJl be greeted' by a bumper house. Since their last visit the company has toured Australia and the South Sea Islands, doing phenomenal business, their seasons at the Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide Town Halls being wonderfully successful. As a family the All Blacks were always worth going miles to hear, and provided an entertainment that was delightfully refreshing, audi were always welcomed by big liouses. During their absence several new attractions have been added, including four distinguished English, artists and the most up-to-date moving picture outfit touring the Dominion. The pictures are worked by a 10,000 can-dle-power engine and dynamo, which is the latest invention of modern times, and Mr Black secures the most up-to-date pictures from all parts of the world. In Australasia Mr Black is now recognised as one of the peers in the moving picture world, and his name now on any poster is enough to secure a packed house. A feature is made of the electric lighting of stage and outside illuminations, whilst the All Blacks brass band of seven instruments dispense sweet music outside before the commencement of the performance. To sum up the performance, it is well to quote a few lilies taken from a paragraph of the Melbourne Age:—''There is not a dull moment from the rise to. the fall of the curtain, and the vast> audience went away quite satisfied had received even more than their money's worth," etc., etc. This will be th© last opportunity of seeing the Black Family as it is now composed, as at the end of the year some of the lady members are retii'ing into private life. Mr Black will then probably visit England and America to secure novelties and'then re-form the company! and after touring Australia, will visit New Zealand in about two years' time with a show that is up-to-date in every respect. Popular prices are to be charged here, and seats may be reserved at Bartlett's without extra charge.
