Wool, good sale with better selection crossbreds suitable for America, which realised high prices. Merinos very firm. Catalogued to date 49,987, sold 46,387. The immense production of copper in America is affecting prices, though the consumption is excellent.
The Economist states that the midMarch settlement on the Stock Exchange was the largest on record, one firm in Rliodesians made 1600 bargains in one day. Waihi, buyers £9 15s, sellers £9 17s 6d; Junctions, buyers, 33s 9d, sellers 355.
