EMIGRATION OF RESERVISTS.

Press Assn—By telegraph—Copyright (Received March 12, 8.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 11.

Sir Edward Grey, replying to a question as to the emigration of reservists, says it will only be permitted to a limited extent. Regarding soldiers who have completed their engagements, the Army Council will be glad if employment with oversea dominions' defence forces could be guaranteed for, say, two years. This would enable the men to take up work wherefore they are fully qualified, and benefit the Dominions. While settling down in their new environment, no advances in reservists' pay could be made. No definite steps have been taken to ascertain the Dominions' views in this direction.
