Bicycle events Avill be governed by the Rules of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen. Nominations Avith proper fees for events number 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 23, 24, 25, AA'ith last tAvo years' performances, or if none druing that period, the last twelve of any, must be in the hands of the Secretary not latet than Monday, January 24, 1910. Handicaps declared in the Napier Daily Telegraph, Danneyirke cate, and Evening News on or about Tuesday, February 1. Acceptances close on the ground. All other entries made on the ground at least 20 minutes before the event to becontested. Assumed names not alloAved. The handicappers reserA'e the right to re-handicap the winner of any event after the handicaps are declared. Protests must be put in writing, and handed to the Secretary within 15 minutes after disputed event, accompanied Avith a fee of ten shillings, Avhich Avill be forfeited should the protest be deemed f melons. On no account Avill an attendant be alloAved to accompany or Avait upon a competitor inside the ring. No competitor Avill be alloAved inside the ring except during the time of the event in Avhich he is competing. No competitor Avill be alloAved to compete in any event until his entrance fees are paid. AVhen an event is contested in more than tAVO preliminary heats the first and second shall run in the final. If an event is contested in preliminary heats, the first, second, and third shall run in the final. In all eA r ents, Irish Jig excepted, competitors must appear in proper costume, viz., running events, clothing from shoulders to the knees, that is jersey (sleeved to ellxnv) and loose draAvers or trunks.
