Owing to growing public dissatisfaction at the continual dislocations of the telegraph service throughout the Commonwealth, the PostmasterGeneral has called a conference of telegraphic heads of departments in the various States to devise means for overcoming the difficulties that exist. The Postmaster-General declares his determination to put the service in proper order at whatever cost may be necessary.
