Immense areas are under water. Many bridges have" been washed away and vehicular traffic is blocked. Rescue boats are being sent out. The flood in the Tunnit river is the highest for sixty years. J A man w.as drowned in the flood waters at Tumbernrajba and several sensational escapes are reported. > (Received this day, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, to-day. The river at Albury, after rising 17 feet; commenced to fall. "'•Reports from other centres show the worst is past, and the rivers are falling, though there is still an immense quantity of flood water to come down. The losses of stock are not serious,' but great damage* has been done to bridges, roads and fencing. Vast numbers of rabbits have been drowned. MELBOURNE, yesterday.
