WOODVILLE v. DANNEVIRKE.
This game, played at "Wcodville-yt'ij-terclay, proved a rather uninteresting match. Dannevirke won the to-5.5 and elected' to play with the wind. The .-visitors had a slight advantage during the first spell, although it ended against the Greens, a potted goal by Smith and a try scored by Ebbett, to a. penalty goal kicked by Price. The second spell saw Woodville attacking - very hard, but owing to the splendid defence of Wilson and Price, Woodville only pene-, trated the Daouievirke defence once by a try scored by Henry, which he afterwards converted. The whistle sounded shortly after, the game ending: Woodville 12, Dannevirke 3.
