The Bards-ley-Armstrong partnership, lasting 65 minutes, carried -the total to 101 before the third wicket fell. The fourth wicket went at 139. Armstrong batted 95. minutes, and gave a splendid display. He made a sixer and nine fours. ' Gregory and MacAlister added the balance of the runs required. The weather was brighter and the attendance increased to 5000.
