I have the honor to Teport having attended to the following works during the month. Dannovirke Hiding : Have had Nanstoad's and Laws' Road patched \yith metal and the :nien are now. busy raking in metal on Smith Road. The contractor has also finished the bridge over the Tapuata stream on same road. Havo had a now culvert erected' on Umutaoroa Road, as the old ono was completely rotten, at a cost oi" £3 2s. lam also attending to .some necessary metal patching on this road. Mangatoro Riding : Have had dips removed of Maunga and Otonga Roads. Have also had groins erected in Iho Ma.nga.tora. river (Wober Road), also at creek near Ivaitoko station and at. the plough camp, Otope Road. Have also- had culverts attended to on Otope road. Ormondvillo Riding: Tho watertables on Maunga. Ltoad have now been all cleaned with tho scoop aaul tho men are now busy cleaning the watw-fcablus. on Alms-oka Road. Tho roadman has ako attended to watertables on OrmotulvilhyPapatu Road, and i lie. hill running down to tho Manauatu river, Waikopiro Road. Nor.sowood Kid ing: A. Tho Chairman mentioned a small bridge in tho Mangatoro Valley which was in a rotten state. — The overseer estimated renewal to cost £122 15s.— Cr Tansoy proposed that the work bo done by Council's workmen.- — Carried. The overseer and Chairman inspected bridge, on Waitahora lload which needed repairs-— Cr Ratlibone moved that tho matter bo left to overseer. — Agreed to. , Cr Rathbone. brought up the matter of representation on Charitable Aid Board. He sa\d tho northern bodies were endeavouring to secure more representation on the basis of. rates, but this end was entitled to more members on the population basis; and ho moved thai Mi* 0.
