THE WEATHER.
[PEEBB ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, last niglit. Mr Clement Wragge states that Christchurch is lucky- in having escaped severe local squalls attaching to the disturbance "Buddo," wliich is now passing off. The recent boisterous weather at "Wellington and torrential local rains > and snow in. parts of the Middle Island are instances among many others; of the passage of "Buddo." About the middle' of June will come the disturbance "Ngata," and lie will be fol-. lowed by "Taylor" in full blarf, with increase of latitude before the month expires. Regarding the great snowstorm already reported, it should be noted that tlie earthquake anticipated in connection with it have duly occurred in Central America, Messina, and Singapore.^ Further seis^ mic action is not unlikely, and all interested should watch the cablegrams. ,
