[PREBB ASSOCIATION.] (JOKE, yesterday. At tho Magistrate's Court, before Mr Kenrick, S.M.. (k'orge Dempster applied for a publican's license! for the Woodlands Hotel, recently taken into the Mataura No-license district from Awarua. The only member of the last Licensing Committee who presented himself Mas Mr Forsyth (Wynd.hain). After discussion, the Magistrate said that as far a.s he could see there was not a court present at all*, and he had no power to deal with the application. "If," he added, "the licensee continues business after June 30th, he will run the risk of a prosecution to settle the question."
