BANKING IN MOTHER EARTH.
A well-known American author, who had heard rumors of coming financial disaster, went to a leading New York financier early last summer, and asked about the situation. "What is it you want to know?" queried the banker. "Why, I hear stories on every side of depression that is sure to come, and I have some investments in mind. I want to know what you think about putting -ovri: money for investment." "Do you ever read the Bible?" inquired the financier. "Sometimes." "Well, do you remember about the man who went and buried his treasure in the ground?" "I do." "Let me tell you, then, that he wasn't such a fool as he has been taken for."
