TUBERCULOSIS EXHIBITION.
SPEECH BY JOHN BURNS. Press Assn — By telegraph — Copyright. LONDON, Yesterday. The Hon. J. 'Burns opened the Tuberculosis Exhibition at Whitechapel. It is intended to illustrate methods of preventing the disease and of minimising its effects where it exists. Mr Burns claimed that Britain led in • the crusade against tuberculosis, remarking that the direct remedies were higher wages, less drink, less betting, and more regular work. He added that open windows would stamp out consumption in a generation. . A number of suffragettes were ejected for persistently interrupting Mr Burns.
