i ' [own correspondent.] • The Weber Rifle Club has hitherto had its annual picnic on Boxing Day, but as this is the same day that Pongaroa and Porangab.au have fixed for their local gaieties, our club has been graciously pleased to alter its day to New Year's Day. There .will ..be a large. gathering in "Happy Valley" on that, occasion, if the weather is ajk favorable as we are. There will be*lfcootmg. The ladies have two 'prizes awaiting the successful ones; the first is a 'brooch, the second I don't yet know. /
