Metropolitan "Rules of Racing" strictly adhered to. Protests (if any) must be made in writing, and handed to the Secretary within 15 minutes of disputed event. A deposit of £2 must accompany each protest, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not stistained. All races are for hacks only. "Hack" shall mean a horse that has never won over £25 in any race of any description at time of entry. A limited number of permits will be issued to approved Bookmakers at two guineas each. Permits must be obtained from the Secretary before 11.30 a.m. on day of races. Bookmakers plying their occupation without a permit will be removed antl prosecuted. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections shall be determined by the provisions of the "Rules of Racing."
