AMERICA AND FREETRADE.
LONDON, yesterday. The New York correspondent of the Times states that the IVays and Means Committee of _ Tariff llevision in Washington has been startled by the numerous proposals for freetrade. The demands: are for the free admission, of lumber, steel, hides, art works and substantial reduction of duties in other directions.
