A PAHIATUA WEDDING.
CHAPMAN— STttATFOUD. . 'A very popular ceremony was porfoVmecl at the Church of Christ yesterday, when Mr G. J. Chapman, of Taihape,'was married to Miss E. L. Stratford. Mr Chapman was formerly a resident of Pahiatua. . Tho bride, who, was given away by lu v r father^ -looked. charming in a cream lustre dress, trimmed with silk and insertion, finished with a silk girdle and' gold tassels, wearing tho orthodox wreath and veil, ay.d r-arrying a handsome shower bouqiifc. Miss ].. liinton, who was dressed in a pale, green voile, and hat to match, was in attendance as bridesmaid, while Mr E. Matthews acted as best men. Tho gifts of the bridegroom to the bride and bridesmaid were pretty brooches. Mr and Mrs Chapman received many handsome and useful presents. The wedding day was the more evontful in that tho bridegroom's parents were celebrating their golden wedding at Home.
