LONDON, yesterday. -The Daily Chronicle applauds the notable declaration by Mr Asquith, Prim© Minister, in regard to naval construction, though it may increase the t naval estimates by five or six million pounds. The Chronicle fears Mr LloydGeorge (Chancellor of tho Exchequer) will be forced to face 20 millions additional taxation. A number of Radical newspapers aro trying to water down Mr Asquith's declaration regarding the navy. Two hundred and forty-ftnir members of the House, of Commons have petitioned Mr Asquith to include a tax on land values in. the next Budget.
