THE LICENSING CHALLENGE.

The following correspondence has passed between the representatives of the License and No-Lice»» Parties regarding the proposed debate in the Drill Hall. Mr Dalrymple, J.P., Sir,— l ana instructed by the Executive of the Waipawa No-license League to challenge you to publicly debate, in the Drill Hall, Danaeyirke, on Monday evening the l6thinst., the proposition; "That NoLicense is a Failure," you to take the affirmative, and the Rev. T. f*. Thomas, 8.A., to take the negative on behalf of the League, and His Worship the Mayor to preside. Kindly reply not later than 2 p.m. to-morrow (Saturday). — I am, y ours faithfully, D.
