MEYNELL AND GUNN'S "LITTLE BREADWINNER" CO.

A drama containing all the true elements for genuine success is said to be the chief attribute for the! ' 'Little Bread Winner, ' ' a domestic drama, in four acte, to. be. presented on Tuesday night next at the Drill' Hall. Pilays may come and plays' may go, but it is only a few that remain to impress th© public . mind. The management claim that "The Little Bread Winner" is such a play, i With an important, genuine child interest, a story simple in construction, which avoids all possible deviations into the realms of the impossible, and ?l wealth of detail in construction, it is claimed that no more truly homely presentment of a story, bristling with human situations and reflecting the life we live has ever been proffered to au Australian public. The locale is England, and there within the quiet sanctuary of a Quaker home are .enacted the tragic and appealing ele^ nients which go to make the story. The atmosphere, if verging on the melodramatic at times, yet atl through as though held by a bridle rein, it never crosses beyond the threshold of what is natural and reasonable. The name part is played by Miss Queenie Williams, who once led the famous Tin Can Band so popular of this management throughout Australia. Associated with her is little Maggie Dickinson, also a little star of like fame. The company is a particularly strong one, headed by the charming Australian actress, Miss Beatrice Holloway and Mr Ernest Leicester, an English actor of distinction, and the support includes JVtessrs G. P. Carey, C. R. Stanford 1 , E. ■ G-. Coughlan, and Mesdames Ida Gresliain, Alice peorwyu, Mabel Russell, etc. The. season is limited to two nights. The farewell night will be devoted to a revival of "The Fatal Wedding." Box plan opens at Bartlett's to-morrow morning. Prices, 4s, 2s 6d a"nd Is are announced. ,:
