WONDERFUL EGYPTIAN WOMEN

We all sat round a brazier into which the Sheikha threw a few perfumes — the general preliminary in tho East to all supernatural matters. I -gave ' her ■ a -. glove I had worn, and she certainly told me some remarkable things about my past. I was then informed that if I wanted to be told about anyone else I must give the Sheikha a small silvfer piece, and think of that person without mentioning his name. I gave her a twopiastre piece, and inwardly thought of Mr Gladstone. The Cheikha said : "This is a man far over the sea and of great influence and power in the Council. He is now in office, but he is very annoyed because he feels he must soon leave office, and that by an act he has just performed he has done injury "both 'to himself and to his friends." I then gave her another coin, and thought of Lord Salisbury. She said: "This man is also far over the sea, and very powerful in his Council. He is not in office now, but he will be soon, in conseqiience of the acts of the other man, who will have to fetire. He has been in power before, but he is coming into much greater power now." She fixed a term which proved correct. I then gave her a third piece, and thought of Lord Randolph Churchill. The Sheikha said: "This man is also very powerful •in the Council, and will be more so, as he is much younger than the others. He has already occupied a great place, and will soon, occupy a much greater one." I then pointed to the two coins representing Mr Gladstone and Lord Salisbury, and asked: "Which of these two is best affected to this young man ?" In reply she pointed to Mr Gladstone's coin. My belief is that there always was . considerable sympathy between Mr Gladstone and Lord '^Randolph Churchill. The day after this incident occurred, I wrote an account of it to the latter. Wolff's "Rambling Recollections."

Mrs S. H. Walker, 230 Humffray street, Ballarat, Vie, writes: "Have used Chamberlain's Cough Remedy for four years, and know it is excellent. Have found it most beneficial. Can recommend it to anyone. In fact have done so many times, and it has accomplished good results in every case." For sale everywhere.
