PRESENTATION TO ENGINEEBS

DFNEDIN, Saturday. .Representatives of the Institute of Marine Engineers and a large number of leading citizens assembled in the Town Hall to-day publicly to recognise the skill of the Hawea's three engineers, Messrs Joseph McLean, A. C. Carman, and F. T. Ritsbii on the occasion of the recent breakdown. The Mayor, on behalf of the institute, presented the engineers with gold emblems of merit, and in the course of a congratulatory .. speech mentioned that they were all New Zealanders.
